SBMYO Civil Aviation Transportation Management program 2nd year students and graduates, a total of 38 students, primarily at Fugo Ground Services, as well as Turkish Ground Services (TGS) and Çelebi Aviation Services, received the necessary training and served as Ground services, Passenger services, and Ramp services officers during the May-October period of 2022-2023. Some of our students and graduates who showed outstanding success were promoted to permanent staff.
Among these students, Burak Can Çalışkan and Bedirhan Demirbilek, who serve as passenger services officers at Fugo Ground Services, visited our school on 26.10.2023 and met with Civil Aviation Transportation Management students. In the talk where they shared their recruitment processes and the competencies and skills required by the industry, they provided inspiring advice and suggestions to our students. They emphasized the importance of English proficiency and mentioned that knowing a second foreign language has become a necessity. Despite having worked at Fugo for only 6 months, they were promoted and appointed as trainers to the Istanbul office, we congratulate them on their success.
On the other hand, significant representatives of the industry, Çelebi Aviation Services Inc., sent a thank you letter to the Civil Aviation Transportation Management Program Faculty Members Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Burcu Alan and Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Dilşad Tülgen Çetin. In the letters signed by Human Resources Director Gökşen Dervişoğlu, the interest shown by the program faculty members in the training of students working within the company was emphasized.
